Four companies in Sabah warned for breaching SOP during sea walking activities

Four companies conducting sea walking activities on islands in the city have been issued with warnings for breaching regulations.
The warning was issued during an enforcement operation dubbed Ops Patuh TTAR aimed at ensuring that marine tour operators abide by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for recreational activities in the marine park areas (2024).
Sabah Parks led the operation on the Mamutik and Manukan islands near here, on Monday (April 7).
Apart from the companies, 10 individuals were also served with warning letters, and they were asked to immediately cease all sea walking activities until all SOP requirements were met.
