Bath

The Pulau Tiga Park is also known for the mud volcanoes which are still actively emitting gaseous and periodical eruptions. This mud volcanoes are popular attractions among visitors to the main island. The mud volcanoes found here is the only few found in Sabah (the other being on Pulau Bakkungan Kechil of Turtle Islands Park, Sandakan). It is believed that it possesses medicinal and therapeutic values.

Scuba Diving & Snorkelling

Among the main recreation activities in Pulau Tiga Parks is scuba diving and snorkeling. Areas which this activities were allowed were divided into zones. Please refer to the management for the recreational activities zones.

Recreation/Picnic/Camping

Outdoor social gathering such as picninc (Pantai Asmara, Pagong-pagong and Ramis) and overnight camping (designated site within the Base Camp) can be done in many of the existing shelters. These shelters are equipped with tables and seating of varied design and materials. They can also be lighted at night. These facilities are quite close to the beach. Others facilities are public toilet and shower room

Nature Trails

Trails provide access for visitors to explore the natural habitats and resources found on the island. Currently, there are 8 nature trails of varying lengths. These are the Larai-larai, the Pagong-pagong, the Volcano, the Ramis, the Sibamban, the Casuarina, the Vokong and the Tagi trails. Eachs offers different experiences in term of flora, fauna, visual, topography and endurance.




Facilities

Accommodation

Various kind of accommodations and a restaurant were available in Pulau Tiga run by PULAU TIGA RESORT. However, there is a chalet facility and two cabins owned by Sabah Parks for visitors. The chalets is equipped with kitchen, bathroom facilities and furnitures. The chalet can accommodate 4 people at any one time. The two Cabins were also equipped with kitchen facilities, one bathroom and 2 sleeping rooms each with bunk beds and can accommodate 8 guests at any one time. It could be rented out to visitors if unoccupied by Sabah parks guests/staffs. Visitors who are keen to book, please refer to Sabah Parks hq in Kota Kinabalu.

Jetty

At present the main take off point from the mainland to Pulau Tiga is by way of a jetty at Kuala Penyu. While the trip by fast speed boat from the take off point to the island takes about 20 minutes, it takes about two hours to travel from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Penyu. Jetty were available only at Pulau Tiga and Kalampunian Damit islands.

Exhibition Centre

An exhibition centre can be found in the administrative building at Pulau Tiga. It is open daily from 9.00am to 4.00 pm. Entrance is free and could accommodate 10-20 people.
